5 Smartphone Charging Tips

So funny because honestly I do not have smartphone right now. 4 months ago I still have my phones, yep phones, iPhone + an Android phone. Until one day, I lost them at the same time πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ˜ͺHonestly,  I still do not know how I lost them. Did someone steal them? Or I just misplaced them? I do not know. Right now, I do not have money yet to buy a new smartphone and that's why I am currently borrowing my parents' phone πŸ˜…

Today, I am going to share to you 5 Smartphone Charging Tips. I used to do these tips when I still have my phone with me. These tips actually helped my phone to charge faster and made the battery last longer.

Tip #1 Put Your Phone In Flight/Airplane Mode ✈️

When you put your phone into flight/airplane mode, it turns off all of the radio-frequency signal transmission of the device. It helps to put your phone at minimum power consumption because flight/airplane mode disables Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Just bear in mind that this tip will block incoming phone calls and SMS messages.

Tip #2  Charge From A Wall Socket πŸ”Œ

I do not have a lot of knowledge about electricity - this is just based on my experience and observation πŸ˜€ It takes less time for me to charge when I charge directly from a wall socket rather than from laptop/PC. I assume that power output from a USB port is much lower, which will slow down the charge time.

Tip #3
Try Not To Let The Battery Drop Below 20% πŸ”‹

To extend your battery life, charge your battery regularly and try to start charging immediately before it drops below twenty percent. Another way to maintain battery's health is to not leave your smartphone plugged in for long periods of time, which can cause overheating.

Tip#4 Use Battery Saving Apps πŸ“±

There are many apps available on Google Play Store (or App Store for iPhone users) that are designed to help users to make the most out of their smartphone’s battery life. Battery saving apps do a lot of things that help to optimize battery life, such as turning down brightness, shutting down apps that are causing excessive battery drain, automatically turning off phone's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and data connections when not in use, and so much more.

Tip #5 Use A High Quality Charger Cable ⚡️

The best charging cable is the one that comes with your smartphone, it definitely does its job but not efficiently. There are efficient charging cables out in the market, like the Magneto Magnetic 3.38 feet long magnetic charging cable that is 10 times more durable than original cables.

We've all experienced the trouble of plugging our smartphones while in the dark or when in a hurry. Magnet Cable is specially engineered so you can connect it magnetically to your iPhone or Android. The magnet works from either side so you don’t have to worry about which side is up, and thus making it much easier to plug your smartphone in for charging. Magneto magnetic cable also offers an ultra fast charge perfect for people on the go.

You can get your own Magneto Magnetic charging cable by clicking on this link http://www.widgetcity.com.ph/product/magneto-cable

It is actually 50% off right now, so do not miss the deal!

Happy Charging!

My works. Pt. 1

Hey Invaders! It's been a while since I haven't posted in this blog. I'm going to show you my recent painting and drawing.

I want to let you know that I only paint or draw when I feel inspired... Honestly, I don't know what or who makes me feel inspired to put into action my artsy side. There are times when I see myself staring into blank space, thoughts like "I feel inspired! πŸ’• ".. " I want to draw! ✏️ " ... "I want to paint!  πŸŽ¨ " instantly pop in my head out of nowhere. πŸ’¨

Before I show you my our paintings I just wanna tell you a little background story about how  I  we came up with that painting. Last month, I made a new friend, both of us are willing to make our friendship stronger. We can't be with each other everyday cos of schedule conflicts, but we hang out once in a while. I mentioned to her that I paint, she asked me to show her my works, I did, and she liked them. She hinted that she wants me to teach her how to paint, but I told her that I'm not a pro and I am a self-taught artist (wait.. am I an artist? lol), who never took a single drawing or painting course in my life. She still insisted that she wanted me to teach her. I brought my painting materials and went to her place, and I also saved some screenshot of paintings that I thought would be easy for a beginner.

On Pinterest, I can see lots of similar images/paintings of what we painted that's why I can't address who's the original artist.  It was my first time to instruct someone how to paint, and even though it's a non-complex painting, I still had a hard time to explain what she should do. Half-way of painting, she said that she just messed up the canvas, so she asked me to fix her mistakes / enhance her work. Though I did fifty percent of her painting, I still insist that it's her painting not mine and I want her to keep it as a token of our budding friendship πŸ‘.

Here's what we came up with:

We used 9x12 inches stretched canvas that only cost around 100 Php each (not more than $2.50). Yes! it's very inexpensive, but the quality is pretty good. It's not imported, it's manufactured locally, and I think that's the reason why it's inexpensive. For the paint, we used primary colors (+black and white) of tempera paint. I just mixed some paints to come up to our desired colors. Overall, we're happy with our painting. Now, our paintings are hanging on our bedroom walls.

My next post will about my latest drawing :) See ya <3

DIY Mother's day Pop-up Flower Card

Hey Invaders!! Mother’s day is coming up. If you don’t know yet what to give to your mom, why not give her a greeting card? There are lots of ready-made greeting cards in the market, but I'm pretty sure that our moms would appreciate handmade / personalized greeting cards even more.

You should definitely check out this DIY project. A pop-up flower card that's made with love πŸŒΊ πŸ’•

This pop-up card may seem difficult to do, but trust me! It's easy when you follow every step listed below.

Here are the materials you’ll need:

- Card stock
- 7 Colored paper (4x4 inches)
                                                    - Double-sided tape / Glue stick
                                                    - Colored pencils / pens
                                                    - Scissors

Follow the instructions carefully:

  • Get one square of colored paper, and fold it twice. (Use the images below as a guide)

1.
2.

  • You formed a tiny square. Now, fold up one flap diagonally.

  • Flip the whole square over.
  • Fold up the other flap. Now, it’s triangular.
  • Cut whatever shape you want for the flower. Below, I have 3 samples of flower shapes that you can choose from.

  •       In this project, I will use pattern #1.

  • Unfold it. Use coloring pencils/pens to decorate the flowers. You can leave 2 petals undecorated because we will cut it later.

  • Cut 1 petal (undecorated).

  • Close the gap by overlapping the petals (the undecorated one should be at the bottom). Secure it using glue stick or double-sided tape.

  •        Here's what the flower should looks like.

  •  Repeat the folding, coloring, cutting, and gluing steps on the remaining 6 papers. You should now have 7 adorable flowers.

  • Now, the next steps are kinda tricky. For it to be easy, lay the petals the exact way I did. Apply glue or double-sided tape on the areas where there are white boxes.

  • We will now attach the flowers together. Just follow the illustration.

Your flower stack should look like this.

    • We will now work on the card itself. Get your card stock, and decorate the front page of the card if you want. The photo below is the back of my card stock. It will be the inside of the card where the flowers will be.

    • Lay the card open. Place the folded flower stock on the right part of the card. Apply double-sided tape on the marked area.

    • Close the card, and press it firmly to adhere.

    • Open the card and do the previous step on the other part.

    •  Tadaaaaa!!! You now have a Pop-up flower card. πŸŒΊ

    • I've decided to use decorative scissors on the edges of the card to make it more lovely.

    • If you want, you can write short messages on the free space around the flowers to make your card more personalized and more from the heart πŸ’•

Here’s what my card looks like after I write short quotes and messages.
    Open me pleaaaassee πŸ™

    YAAAAASSS! πŸ˜ πŸ’•

It might not be as expensive as material gifts, but this card is very special because you dedicated your time and heart on making it. I’m pretty sure that our moms would love receiving this lovely card. πŸ‘ πŸ’ž

    Update ~01

    HEY INVADERS!!

It's been a long time since I haven't written a blog post. Sorry for that :). A lot of things happened in the past months. I was busy doing loaaaaaaddddsssss of school stuff, I faced one of the biggest challenge of being an Internal Auditing student (.. and thank God because I passed! Wooo..), and I also turned 18!!! Am I an adult now? Honestly, I feel that I'm still 16 .

Anyways, It's summer vacation, and it means that I have more time to do the things that I love to do :) It involves (1) watching YouTube videos (my fav youtubers are Alex Wassabi, LaurDiy, Lazyron Studios, ilikeweylie, and a lot more!!), (2) watching Korean dramas and anime, (3) playing The Sims 3 (So sad cos I still haven't got The Sims 4), (4) painting and drawing random subjects, (5) and of course doing crafts and DIY projects that I also love sharing with you <3

Ahhh .. It feels good to be back! I'll devote my free time to work on this blog, so stay tuned next week for a new DIY project :) That's all! See ya ;)
